If you haven't heard, Oklahoma is in the middle of a teeny-tiny blizzard.
Seriously.
There are drifts by our house up to my thigh!
John Mark could hardly wait to play in the snow...
This morning was too nasty to even THINK of playing-
sleet, crazy wind, just nasty.
But after nap, it had calmed down a bit.
We spent 15 minutes getting "bungled" (bundled)-
and then lasted maybe 10 minutes outside.
Actually, they probably would have been longer-
but I'm a weenie and worried about frostbite.
We came in an warmed up with some hot chocolate,
and now we're watching The Santa Claus marathon.
Later we're going to open our Christmas Eve gift,
then put nart to bed and get everything ready for tomorrow.
I hope it clears off so mom and dad can make it here
and we can all make it to my aunts!
I leave you with the TRUE reason for the season:
"That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:8-12
Merry Christmas, friends!
